Sunday, November 8, 2009 - Color is a tea-tinged garnet that's still a bit bright. The nose however was closed on opening and while it filled out over time, it never came into full bloom. What was there was typical creamy tea cherry. Likewise the palate. A lot of structure (even on the second day) and a little of that creamy cherry tea after some time, but not much else. Obviously not a wine meant for extended aging and that's no surprise. It's showing hints of past greatness, but is pretty much on the way out 13 years on. No rating. Find some 2006 and enjoy!
