Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Yarra Yering Dry Red Wine No. 1 2018, Cabernet Sauvignon 55% Merlot 28% Malbec 12% Petit Verdot 5%

Yarra Yering located in Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. Produces fantastic wines, No. 1 is a Bordeaux Blend and No. 2 is a Rhone blend. Focus on the fruit and a clear structure, the acidity is vital and the tannins are fine-grained. This reminds a little of Margeret River, sublime fruit, or left bank in Bordeaux. High minerality, herbs, lead pencil together with black currants and a touch of plum. This should be even better with at least 5 more years in the cellar.
