Sunday, June 24, 2018 - Decanted for around 30 minutes. Dark crimson color. Nose of cassis, blackberry, black currant, cedar cigar box and a bit of toasted oak spice on the back end. Similar flavors on the palate with spicy black fruit and integrated oak with a hint of caramel or toffee on the finish. Medium to medium+ acid, integrated sweet tannins and a smooth finish. Drinking very well and probably at or slightly past peak. Paired very well with a grilled NY strip.
