Tuesday, May 9, 2023 - Drank next to the 2017 1er cru Groffier Hauts-Doix. This seems lighter in weight on the palate. Good sweetness ,good length , approachable easy drinking wine. Flavours of dark fruit, moderate tannins. no residual bitterness. Not a powerhouse wine but more subtle in all its aspects. Excellent wine.
Prefer the 2018 as of now but will wait and see how the wines evolve.
Second day you could taste the tannins but the sweetness and fruit flavours where subdued.
