Friday, May 9, 2008 - Another winner from Paul Blanck! Wonderfully balanced almost perfect representation of what Alsatian pinot blanc should be. So varietally correct it stings. Reminiscent of a well-made Macon bourgogne blanc, albeit for a noticeable (and pleasant ) lime nose. Lots of mineral on this one, esp. on the nose. A nice yeasty honey and pear taste on first swig, small amount of candy sugar. Will buy again. And again. And again.
