Thursday, November 16, 2023 - Full body. Toasted nuts, fruit and a touch of gooseberry on the nose, which conveys a certain depth but doesn’t fully agree with me. On the palate this is very fruit forward in almost a California kind of way but with the traditional wonderful burgundy characteristics of earthy notes and a touch of sauvage. This finishes on a slightly tart cranberry note which may soften with time. Very enjoyable but there are some subtle flavor aspects that are somewhat unusual.
