Wednesday, February 21, 2024 - This is a joyful wine and shows real winemaking skill.
An explosion of lychee, with a shockwave of kaffir lime and ripe custard apple on the nose. Silky smooth mouthfeel and rich rounded fruit notes, especially that lychee on the taste. The sweetness is there but it’s in check. I suspect that this wine at 7 years is right in the zone but I feel it has more years in its locker. Went great on its own, even better thereafter with a Malysian Laksa.
