Friday, April 17, 2015 - The label(Newtonian) was a bit different on this bottle that was bought from Germany. Upon popping the cork broke into 2 pieces; the lower piece being totally soaked and stained. Decanted for 1/2 hour. On the nose some dark cassis toned fruit, tobacco and manure. On the palate it was still kicking nicely, delivering subtle dark fruit with beautiful tertiary flavors like barnyard and hints of tobacco. Almost resolved tannins. Smooth and complex. This wine has aged gracefully and seems to be in a perfect spot right now. What a great buy for 35€ !
