Saturday, August 22, 2009 - Drank with brisket and mashed potatoes. Beautiful, very fragrant nose of blueberry and blackberry. On the palate, big dark fruit with some tobacco leaf leading to a finish of prominent tannins. Excellent pairing of the brisket with this delicious wine. Needs a few years for the tannins to integrate and has potential for a much higher score.
