It was a bit harsher, thinner and tannic than expected. The fruit was subdued or overpowered by comparison. Don't get me wrong. It was still a good wine. Just not as good as expected. Bottle variation, bad night for my palette, wine too young? Who knows. The only thing that I can say with conviction is that it needs more time and hopefully only that.
