Sunday, April 23, 2017 - Nose shows cool herbs, slightly minty. Licorice and a touch of sassafras. Palate is medium+ bodied. Immediate sweetness hits the palate even after 11 years. Very nicely delineated blue fruits and red berries. Behind this is some nice fine grained tannin and a good dose of acidity. Overall, a nice wine but the initial attack is just too sweet for me.
