95 Points

Friday, April 16, 2021 - At 1st opening, beautiful evolved nose & palate, light, but lots of life. So pretty & elegant! In today's climate, are we still permitted to call a wine "feminine?" Surprisingly, after about 30 minutes of air, even more fruit started to open up. Light dried cherries & plums. Maybe a hint of pomegranate, but that may have been the pomegranate sauce on the duck exerting an influence. The wine danced on the palate, & lingered on the tongue. Purchased from a private cellar. Recorked in 1991 by a 3rd-party company (prior to my purchase). Solid 95 points. Not a drop remained in the decanter.
