Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - The cork wasn't in great nick and the wine was quite cheesy with some nutty aldehyde. It actually breathed up quite well and showed notes of root vegetable, beef stock, tart red fruits, woodsy forest floor things and blood. It had good density and persistence. No where near as good a bottle as a recent '80 G.E and I suspect there are better bottles of this out there.
