Friday, July 24, 2015 - Lovely medium garnet color, nice depth of color and viscosity. 14% ABV very well integrated and balanced. Decanted at 9am re-bottled and transported 2 hours to have for lunch. Nose was fragrant with red and black fruit, a touch of smokiness, some pepper, rose petals, licorice and a little cedar. Nose continued to improve and get richer for hours until the last drop. Flavor profile reflected the nose. Great rich mouth feel and moderately long aftertaste finishing with a nice black plum flavor. A touch better than my last bottle and probably at its peak for the next several years.
