Sunday, October 1, 2017 - Battle of Barbaresco, cooperative Produttori against Gaja, the king of Barbaresco. Vintages 85, 90 and 01 tasted against each other. Only bottle with documented provenance, comes directly from the Gaja cellars. Fresh and powerful fruit, perfect maturity, orange rim, lovely balance, clean and pure. Amazing wine, so beautiful. Develops constantly in the glass and gains complexity and delicacy, sadly only had one hour this time. Tasted this a few months ago, see previous notes for more detailed review. 95p
