Saturday, April 9, 2016 - A mature wine that drank quite young - younger than our recent bottle of the 2006 vintage. Good red fruits, a surprising amount of tannins on the finish (for 2005), strawberries, raspberries, earth and some forest floor. We had this with grilled Atlantic Salmon (a great pairing) and wild rice; didn't go as well with our sauteed mushrooms. Really drinking quite well and everyone loved it. I bought this on close-out for $20.50 / bottle: great value!
