Saturday, July 12, 2014 - Deep red; Ripe black cherry, prunes, iodine, cigar box nose. As much as the nose gives an impression of dark fruit perhaps overripe fruit, the palate is focused with black current and blackberry fruit with great acidity that carried the fruit well. Tannins mostly resolve, Very long finish. Drank together with 2004 Argentiea and 1995 Leoville Poyferre with beef tenderloin. As great as this wine is both were better food matches than the Insignia.
