Thursday, April 9, 2020 - Popped and splash decanted. Dark ruby color. Nose of dark raspberries, black cherry, a bit of cocoa powder, some toasty oak. Similar flavors on the palate with just an overall delicious factor that you often get in Napa merlot. Medium acid, smooth sweet tannins, especially for a young wine makes this very approachable. Smooth finish. Not sure it has the stuffing for long term aging but this should develop nicely over the next 3-5 years.
