Saturday, September 30, 2023 - Tasted at the winery. This young fellow was bombastic--fun to try. A little out of control, young teenage years for him. Still showed very well in its youth. The tannins haven't settled down yet and it didn't feel totally integrated, but I'm sure this one is destined for greatness much like the 2016 we tasted it against. That one was screaming out "I could wait, but drink me now for all I care!" This wine said, I need to wait a little bit to reach prime time--and I agree. Thanks to the team at Monte Bello for having us.
