Sunday, April 3, 2022 - This reminds me so much of gamay, not Pinot noir. Color is pale ruby and a bit hazy (unfined and unfiltered from what I recall). On the nose, bright red fruit, with a hint of ripe banana. On the palate, it has that Beaujolais sourness with slightly more bitter tannins at the end. It has all the traits of biodynamic but not what you typically get from Pinot noir. Not much in terms of complexity. It’s a fun weekday drinker but don’t expect to get the same quality as burgundy or even Willamette Valley. For the money ($34 USD), I would rather reach for a Bourgogne rouge.

Enjoyed much better on Day 3! It was much rounder and balanced. Perhaps a good decant is recommended?
