Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - Full-bodied, strong Tempranillo blend that shows the character typical of this varietal as produced in the Ribera del Duero region. Let it breathe for 40 minutes, as it will be tough and astringent at open. Once aerated and served, it displays a powerful, inviting nose full of frutal notes of blackberry and dark cherry. Initial palate continues in the same drift, reminiscent of slightly unripe raspberry, and adding the spice and bitterness of freshly rolled toasted tobacco. Finish has a faint note of black pepper, with a subtle fade of the fruit notes and predominance of the bitter tobacco flavor. Really remarkable and satisfying, pair with well-seasoned steak and charcuterie meats for a great experience.
