Thursday, July 21, 2022 - Opened but did not need to decant - was accessible on opening. Dark, inky-crimson color with a purple hue. Nose brings purple lavender, tar, crushed gravel, beef stock, and grape hard candy. The palate is medium, round, supple, and juicy, bringing a firm core of fresh blueberries, chocolate cherries, some blackcurrant, and wild blackberries mixed with campfire, hints of cloves, and teasers of bright red cherries on the finish. Even though though the palate is accessible, the tail is still tannic and a little hot. Try now, or drink 2025-2035. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
