Saturday, October 28, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours, consumed over the next 2, celebrating my birthday with the St Jeans. Medium shoulder full. Youthful black/red color. Cedar, leather, cassis and some bottle funk on the nose. Still a very lively palate with good dark fruit flavor profile, fine grained and silky tannins and a surprisingly long finish. This did not fade over time, although it didn’t get any better either. Amazing what a good property can do in a bad vintage like 1960.
