Sunday, February 18, 2024 - After a two hour decant, this was a very enjoyable off-vintage LLC that has nicely developed. Side by side with Chateau Latour (its first growth neighbour) I preferred the LLC. Tannins are very fine and do not get in the way. Acidity makes you want to come back for more. Just the right balance of juiciness, sweetness and underlying classic structure. Blackberries, dark cherries, cedar, some graphite, but also a tropical element often missing from LLC. Very nice.
