Tuesday, July 5, 2022 - 85/10/5 GSM. Medium body and medium acid. Expected it to be a bit brighter given the high percentage of Grenache but still enjoyable, though not outstanding. Notes of dark fruit, black cherry, vanilla and oak, and some herbal tones on the finish. Subtle licorice and pepper from the Syrah. Paired nicely with pasta and tomato sauce as the acid of the sauce carried the wine. On its own, it drinks a little flat, but given the price point, it’s a good weekday wine.
