Thursday, October 16, 2014 - At Poyferre tasting. Rather dark purple color with a tiny hint of brown. Only opened half an hour before tasting. Aroma was relatively mature but more muted compared to younger wines tasted. Simply smelled more in balance and ready. Relatively fruity on palate with dark cherry, leather. very smooth with tannins pretty well integrated. Oak is subdued. Drinking pretty well right now but will improve.
