Sunday, March 16, 2014 - Took 24 hours to really open up as the second day was much better than the pop and pour. Dark ink, almost black in the glass. Massive nose of iodine, crème de cassis, and tar explode from the glass. Likely drinking at its peak with a velvety mouth-feel and smooth tannin that coat the palate with flavors of juicy black fruit. Finish lingers for over a minute.
