Thursday, January 28, 2021 - This wine smells like a pork chop! Seriously. Even after being exposed to air it retains that profile.

Deep deep inky purple with dark purple legs. The nose is smoky, fatty, basil, thyme, black pepper, gravel, and beneath all of that there is some fruit. Palate is a nondescript black fruit, smoke, and black pepper. A decent amount of residual sugar is present and doesn’t seem to evolve with exposure to air. Aggressive chewy tannins. Medium pepper finish and hop-like bitterness that has a lot of alcohol warmth to it.
