Sunday, December 3, 2023 - Dark red. Quite a restrained nose, blackcurrant quite prominent and this grows, but also scented wood and lead. This is a cool wine, smooth and rather silky. Initially you could almost call it lean, but it expands with time and the fruit gets sweeter. No fireworks, no fuss or drama, solid quality and just an extremely nice bordeaux in a good spot. Decanted two hours in advance and improved throughout the meal.
