Monday, March 11, 2024 - Decanted this for about an hour before dinner and in retrospect, maybe another hour or 2 would have been ideal. Given the vintage, the wine is ready but benefits from air. Tannins are soft and fruit is pretty expressive. I probably come out more in the 93 range but could envision a higher score with a longer decant and sharing the wine with fewer people (we were 2 drinkers and our wives were tasting and eventually drinking) so as to have more time with the wine. Given current Trotanoy prices for “good” vintages, this is a real value.
