Friday, September 4, 2009 - Ruby-garnet color with rusty edges. Overwhelming papaya and tobacco notes on the nose, with tomato and smoky cedar. Wonderfully polished palate with more of the Cabernet Franc characteristics coming through. Soil and green vegetable character with subtle dusty raspberry and fermenting Rainier cherry aspects. This is a very exotic, interesting wine. Needs at least a 2-hour decant. Drink or hold.
