Saturday, April 29, 2023 - Open in the bottle for a couple of hours; this seems to be past its prime. Nose has a very heavy quality: wet clay, dried cherries, blackberry liqueur, a hint of tobacco. Palate is similarly plodding: slight caramel notes with underripe red fruits, patent leather, short finish. Weird balance between acidity and tannins. Not my fave.
