Thursday, March 10, 2022 - Superb Cab Franc, this is just nailing it, and it is the last glass from a bottle open a couple days. Gorgeous blue flowers, myriad peppery tones, subtle roasted veggie and meat notes, a little cigar and black olive too, but the most intense aspect of the nose is ripe black fruits, there are high notes of red and yellow, but this is built around a thrumming dark core. Medium-bodied but dense and seamless, satin tannins are bold but layered and elegant, fruit is crunchy and bursting, this comes at you swaggering, then it dances around nicely. Long finish, saturated in dark fruit, firmly tannic, fresh and tart, lots of mineral, herbal, floral intrigue. Fantastic Cab Franc, and worth following 5+ easily.
