Lime, cherry and green leaf aromas carried through to full flavors, and a more elegant palate presentation than many 2003s. Very good persistence of flavor went along with a soft but cleansing acidity. While this wine would never have been confused with a 2001 (or a 1996 or 1998 for that matter), it did show that well balanced 2003s were possible below the level of auslese where I had most (but not all) of my success previously.
