Saturday, June 17, 2023 - From half-bottle. An average bottle of Yquem -- not great, but not terrible either. This is more of an old-school style despite being post-Lur-Saluces and it's far removed from the modern style of the wine (which honestly I'm not a huge fan of). High botrytis and quite opulent with a caramel sweetness. A fair bit of brown spice and less fresh fruit and more marmalade and things like that.
