Tuesday, December 19, 2023 - Medium straw
Aromatics high. No new oak. Unusual start with a glycerol, new paper and other undefined chemical note that slowly evolves into lemon furniture polish, lees cream finishing with intense minerality. No fruit
Palate has a medium body with a foamy/creamy mouthfeel. Acid medium + and crescendo. Subtle phenolics. Alcohol medium. Mildly honeyed beeswax, ginger spice and motor oil. Finishes with salt
Finish has a long length. Balanced.
Dry glass notes of wool and cream
Probably not too surprising that this is all tertiary at this point. Regardless, I found it still had nice structure and while unique/odd still enjoyable. Supposedly this came direct from the producer after aging at their estate to Garagiste.
Drink now.
