Tuesday, October 9, 2007 - Dinner at Wilfred's (New York City): Josh Raynolds brought this fascinating wine, a Rosé from Getariako Txakolina. A nice enough nose with good, light Rosé color in the glass and only 11% alcohol. On the palate, WOWZA, this is a rose that makes you sit up and notice it. There is an incredible floral light that punches up into the roof of your mouth and fills your nose. Like any good rose, this had nice acid and minerality, but the floral character and perfume were so fresh and distinct. I really enjoyed this and what an amazingly obscure discovery!
