Saturday, February 8, 2014 - Dense garnet color and subtle brick tones at the edge and mostly opaque. The smells are currants, plum, smoke, blackberry, and espresso. The tastes are currants, blackberry, espresso, mocha, cedar, and earth. The tannins are fine and satin like coupled with some zing. The finish is lengthy with medium weight. Great wine that is complex with some old world characteristics.
