Sunday, October 15, 2023 - Similar to Jeff Leve's notes. As his review, nose of white narcissus flower, black cherry, licorice, warm spice, and burnt/smoke notes. In the mouth, these aromas persist with black cherry and white narcissus flowers dominating along with a slight cooked bread effect on the persistent finish. Fruity notes grow as the wine opens. Great concentration. Fine, grainy tannins lead to a smooth drinking experience. Really good. Similar to the Mangot 2020 but more accessible and less closed. I can see truffle aromas developing as this wine ages.
