Wednesday, February 9, 2011 - Fairly bright and punchy on the nose with ripe cherries and plenty of earthy notes. The oak is a little resinous and interrupts the fruit and earth with some pine needle action. In the mouth flavours up front are sweet but trimmed with meat and earth. It tightens considerably and the finish is a little pinched. Still quite a youthful wine that I hope will improve a bit with further cellaring
