Thursday, March 2, 2023 - Pretty gold in the glass.
Aromas of green and golden apples and lots of minerals/wet stones. Simple, yet drew me in. More zippy lemon notes complemented the palate.
Light-medium body. Palate is sleek and has some lemon zest, more apples, and some green pears. This is supplemented by strong notes of mineralogy and stones that hold a high note throughout the medium+ length finish.
It's a wonderfully made wine and continues to drink well with enough acidity to last another couple of years. I love the assertive mineral backbone of the wine, which, along with the acidity, holds up the fruit structure and the off-dry sweetness. Overall, it's simple, interesting, and delicious, all for $10 at my local wine store.
Gets a 90 from me because of its great balance between mineral and fruit flavors. But boy is it a nice wine and will enter my rotation of weekday drinkers with seafood and Asian-flavored dishes.
