Friday, November 11, 2022 - (Imported by Sera Imports, NY). These grapes were grown in the remote and beautiful French countryside in the Côtes du Roussillon. West of Carcassonne. Not far from the French-Spanish border. Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan

Color: Medium-dark ruby.
Nose: Expressive aromas of black raspberry liqueur, port, and garrigue spices. Nice rich complexity.
Pal: Tastes of dark sun-dried fruits, almost like port. But no sting or bitterness on the finish. Soft tannns, and perfect balance in the mouth. 15% alc, but no excessive heat.
I really like this wine. Light on it's feet but wonderful rich flavor. This is a fabulous Côtes du Roussillon. Much better than most Côtes du Rhone at this price point.
Great value at $16 usd.
A great wine to drink in the Fall and Winter with stews, coq au vin, and similar rich fare.
