Monday, December 12, 2011 - Opened this 3rd growth at dinner last weekend at Kiki's Bistro alongside a 1996 Cos d'Estournel. This was the prefered wine of those at the dinner although I would have given the Cos a slight edge. Not decanted. Deep purple color. Fruitier nose than the Cos. Notes of black fruit, tar and licorice. medium bodied. The tannins were more approachable than the Cos. 89 points.
