Wednesday, August 2, 2017 - Some strange notes on this wine. On opening it is very accessable before shutting down pretty hard. It clearly needs 10++yrs. BUT (a) there is absolutely no alcohol/heat showing, (b) this has massive fruit density, (c) this could be one of the finest pure grenache wines I have enjoyed in the last couple of years. The length was already extra-ordinary with 45sec mocha - a VERY good sign. Opened from my cellar for friends who didn't appreciate the potential - next bottles in a decade with some CdP experts methinks! 96pts now but don't open until at least 2030 (when I would expect it to be 98-100pts). Drink 2030-2050
