86 Points

Monday, June 1, 2009 - Removed cork about an hour before pouring. In essence, so not much air time involved on first taste.

Color: Dark purple and ruby at the rim.

Aromas: Purple and red fruits, some wet leaves, and hints of chocolate. Campfire.

Flavors: Raspberry, chocolate, coffee, campfire, oak. Caramel and toffee notes come. Plums and strawberries.

Overall: Nice balance and surprisingly good complexity and structure for an $11 wine. Showing many different aromas and flavors..
