Thursday, November 1, 2001 - Very good wine; fully approachable and drinking perfectly. Good garnet red colour, just fading a little at the rim. Nose is quite tight (cf the '90) and dense : lots of red fruit and cedar. In the mouth a glorious openness and rich fruitiness. Well balanced but nowhere near the weight of the '90.
