Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - Tasted alongside the 1989 Vieux Chateau Certan and 89 Talbot. All were decanted.

Leoville Barton required about 2 hours decant before it showed. Initially, muted nose and palate. But once open, its most distinguishing characteristic was savory and balanced quality. Sweet cherry, herbs (lavender?), hint of cedar. Less volume than the other two wines, but far more interesting. Drink.
