Wednesday, August 21, 2019 - even in the company of several fine reds, '98 Aldo Conterno, '08 Thomas Pinot Noir, Tempier Migoua the Leoville Barton was noteworthy. A consummate Saint Julien at its peak; lovely developed nose, a soft rich mouthfeel and flavours that carry seamlessly into a fine, long finish. I will drink my last two bottles as occasions arise.
