Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - Relentless power. We decanted it for 35minutes but even after one hour the wine was still powering on.
Very dark concentrated in colour. On the nose it's full on oak notes and although the initial caramel notes mellow the oak steamrolls any other aroma. On the palate it is big, powerfull, ripe. Unfortunately the oak and extraction take away any complexity. Sometimes less is more. 90 at the moment and young, but not sure what time will bring for this wine. Needs food.
