Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - Day 1
Upon opening, somewhat closed on the nose mainly primary notes. Gives up raspberry, caramel and a touch of tree bark. In the mouth abundant dark red raspberry, some earthiness and a touch of tannin reveals itself at the end of a spicy finish. I can definitely see the promise here and I won't open my last bottle for a few years.

With about 1.5 hours of air this wine is gaining complexity, weight and the fruit is intensifying. I am beginning to get notes of cola and the tree bark has faded. Also getting floral notes that were not present before. 92+ shuold improve with some age.

Day 2
to be continued (notes to follow)... Well The wine is definitely more integrated. Not much more to say. The wine has not broken down, but is a more elegant version of last night. Same weight and intensity, but displaying more polish.
